About Me

Hi, I am Laura.

I am a Stittsville/Ottawa area photographer.

I have had a passion for taking photos for ~20 years, but it took the impending birth of our first son for us to take the leap and invest in a proper camera. I am so thankful that we did!!

Above and beyond that, I have had a love for all things wedding, which has transitioned flawlessly to maternity, baby and family. Leading up to my own wedding I enjoyed every opportunity to participate in others' special days (the photo featured above is from my best friends' wedding).

Not too long after my husband and I said our 'I do's" we became pregnant with our first son. Pregnancy was a tumultuous and extraordinary life experience that I honestly would go through again. Carrying our baby made me feel like a Goddess, even through the discomforts of being 40 weeks pregnant in the middle of August.

Once he arrived, we spent an entire year getting to know each other and taking impromptu photo shoots at any chance we (I) got.

Now we have our second son, who is just as much of a blessing as the first. These boys (the little ones and the big one) have given me a whole lot of purpose and have shown me a deeper meaning of love than I ever knew existed.

As I may have mentioned, they are the loves of my life.

I hope to share my passion for photography by finding opportunities to catch those little moments of joy, happiness and love.

Both sets of maternity photos were taken by Kevin & Kelly Photography - my experience working with Kelly also inspired me to be brave and start taking photos (first of my brother and sister-in-law for their first baby).
